The Bows Are Ready!

I've been working really hard to get my bows ready to sell and I have lots that are ready now. I also just got a few bow holders ready. They are adorable. You just hang them up and clip the bows on the ribbon. A very cute way to store and display all your daughter cute hair bows. All the money made from the bows and bow holders is going to Lynden Relay For Life.

I'm selling these bow holders for $10.00
I have 2 ready right now. I can also make them in different colors.

I've also been trying to make some new different kinds of bows. These are really cute bows with extra bling.

Each package I have is going to be $5.00.

Cute baby blues.

These colors and just so bright and fun for Spring.

Bright pink bow tie bow with tails.

Cute little flower bows.

This is one of my new favorite flowers. It is so adorable. Kayla has been wearing it a lot.

This is one of my newest designs.

I love the daisys. I have some different colors and sizes. Some have the yellow center and some have a gem or button.

Pony Tail Streamers. I love these. I don't have any ready to sell yet but I've come up with some really great ideas I want to try out.

I've also figured out the korker bows. I made this one for Makayla and love it. I'm working on getting some of these made to sell too.

If anyone is interested in any let me know. You can e-mail or call me and I would love to get some to you.

HomeMade Mama?!?!

While I was in California Jamie and I learned how to make little girl hairbows. I've found that it is so easy and I love doing it. I've made Makayla TONS, and I'm still making more. I talked to my relay team and I think that we are going to be selling them as a fund raiser for 'Relay for Life', possibly bibs, burp rags and pacifier clips also. We still have to work out prices and such but I'm getting ahead on it while I can.

I love the Orchids. They are beautiful in pony tails.

Gerber Daisys are so awesome. They look great in pony tails and in baby girl hats. I love the colors of this one. They are so bright and awesome for summer.
I'm also making bow holders. They can be made out of letters or just something decorative. I might sell some of these for relay too.

This is the one Makayla had in for church this morning. It was a bit big for her little head but it was really cute.

I've been trying my hand at sewing too. I found this dress online I really like and thought that I would just give it a try. I even found the same fabric that I wanted it in. I love the colors of it. This is how it turned out, but once I tried it on her I had to alter it. The shoulders wouldn't stay on her, after lots of different trys I finally found a way to make it work.

I made ties on each shoulder (they aren't tied nice or finished being sewed here) so now it will stay on. I just have to finish the sewing, also it is really short so I think she will have to wear some shorts with it. I think it turned out pretty good for the first thing I've ever sewn useing a pattern, I've also learned that I don't know how to read a pattern and had to re-cut out the dress 2-3 times. OOPS! !

Our Road Trip to California

We made a road trip to California for the farm show. We had a great time. The kids were so great. Neither of them cried the whole way there or home. Aiden loved it, he was so excited to be going to California he didn't even care how long we were in the car for. This is us having breakfast about an hour before we got to Doug and Jamie's house. We went to Safeway, in PJ's and boots and got some donuts and ate on the bumper. Luckily we had Washington plates so it didn't look like we were living in our car.

Soon after we got there Aunt Judy stoped by with heart cookies for the kids to decorate.

Doug giving horse rides for the kids. They have an awesome farm that the kids had a great time playing on. I think they had a few of almost every animal.

We made it to the farm show with the kids. They had such a great time. It was like a giant tractor playground for them.

Aiden and Mike checking out ALL of the John Deere tractors. Aiden was having the time of his life at the farm show.

Mike with Aiden and cousin James in the big Combine.

Makayla wanted to give Aiden a ride on her tractor.

The poor little guys couldn't keep their eyes open. Jacobus fell asleep on Makayla's shoulder. It was so adorable.

Our little Cowboy with his Cowgirl cousin. They were the best of friends all week long.

We stoped by to visit some friends and they had puppies! ! The kids couldn't have been happier.

They day we left it started getting really sunny and warm. We made a trip to the park to get the kids all tired out before out LONG trip home. They had such a fun park to play at.

I couldn't resist a Palm Tree picture. They were so beautiful. I loved looking at them all in everyone's yards. They all had Orange and Lemon Trees that were ripe right now! ! We couldn't believe it. What a difference.

Aiden and Daddy.

We had a great time visiting in California, we might even make another trip down next year. Everything went so smooth and we had such a great time. On the way home we stopped at Kenzie's house for a break and we spent the day with her. I told Aiden when we were there that we weren't in California anymore and he threw himself on the floor crying that he wanted to stay in California forever. It was really funny. And he would have been totally willing to get back in the car and drive all they way back without a complaint. He is an awesome, easy traveler.

Makayla's Birthday Party

Makayla's 2! ! ! I can hardly believe it. The years have gone so fast and she is getting so big. She already acts like she is way older than she is and is such an entertaining girl to have around. She always has something funny to say, she talks so clear and says little sentances you wouldn't expect her to be able to come up with yet. She is sweet(sometimes), adorable, loving, funny, and full of life and we wouldn't change a thing about her. We treasure every moment we have with her and time is going by way to fast.

This is Makayla waiting for her party. She was so excited she was singing herself Happy Birthday! It was adorable.

Makayla loves kitties so she had a kitty cat party.

Her kitty cake. I loved it, it's a cupcake cake(I don't think I'll ever go back to regular cakes) I brought a picture of the design I wanted to Safeway and they made it exactly how I wanted it. If anyone ever needs a cupcake cake made just how they want it, go there! They are awesome!

So this picture of Makayla and I I think we look so much alike, I've always thought we did but this one really makes it clear.

Poor Kayla, she kept trying to blow out her candles but couldn't get them out. She had such dainty little blows she needed some help.

Awww, Kayla sucking up to Grandma Sterk. She really knows how to butter people up.

Present time! ! !

I think the chapstick was one of her favorite gifts. She was so distracted with putting it on she hardly could focus on opening the rest of her presents.

Makayla's 2 Year Pictures

Ashley came out to take Makayla's 2 Year pictures and the kids did so well. It was amazing. Aiden was all into posing and coming up with his own poses. Makayla didn't want anything to do with it but we got tons of great shots anyway.

This is my favorite picture of Kayla. It is a really hard choice though. I think I need more wall space so I can hang more!

This look says it all. The true Makayla caught on camera!

My favorite shot of Aiden.

Aiden and his weird scary faces. I think there were a lot of them.

Aiden showing his true colors.

I'm not sure about this picture. I really like it but I think that he looks so grown up! It makes me so sad.

Makayla and Rocky.

Both of my kids in the same picture & smiling! That hasn't happened since Makayla was a baby and couldn't do anything about it. Yeah!

Makayla's early Birthday present that worked great for a picture prop.

Aiden & Carter's Sleepover

Aiden got to have Carter over for a sleepover for the first time last night. They had such a great time together. They were so excited to sleep in the tent that they asked me if they could go to bed at 7:50! Of course I said yes and they had so much fun playing with flashlights.

They were so funny, they ended up sleeping in Aiden's little toddler bed. It was so cute. They were really squished together but slept all night long.
