May Day

We had such a great day today. It was the first day that I've had in a long time that I could just spend with my kids. We played all morning and after lunch Makayla went down for a nap and Aiden and I headed out to mow the lawn. After we were finished we couldn't bring ourselves to go inside since it was so sunny and it is calling for rain tomorrow. Makayla woke up and we brought her out with us and spent the whole afternoon in the sun eating popsicles and enjoying the beautiful weather. What a great day!

Aiden is such a sweet boy with his sister. He is always willing to help her out.

I think that Makayla likes the sand box almost as much as Aiden. We are definatly getting a lot of use out of it.

Aiden was so funny. He summersaulted all the way across the yard and back again. I was impressed. That is a lot of summersaults!

Aiden the ham.

I can't believe how big Makayla is getting already. I was pushing Aiden on the swing and swinging with her on the other one and she kept whining. I didn't know what she wanted so I would put her down and she would still whine. I finally put her on the swing by herself and found out that is what she wanted. I could not believe it. She already doesn't want her mommy and wants to do everything by herself! She sat on that swing for about 20 minuetes before she would get off.

She loves coloring with chalk too.
Aiden isn't quite tall enough for his big boy bike so he is sticking to his 3 wheeler for now.

My favorite picture of Aiden. He looks so grown up and handsome! ! ! The Wedding Party The Girls

Beautiful Bride

What a happy couple

Wedding Programs

There were 3 little boys in the wedding and Makayla. We were all very nervous about how they would do. Would they go down? Cry? Could Kayla walk that far? The wedding came and they all did great. Noah was the only one who stayed in front the whole time but at least the rest of them made it down the isle. Here is Jake, he ran the whole way.

Sweet little Noah walked down the whole way and stood quietly by his mom the whole time!

What is that?!?! Aiden the entertainer.

His job was to wait for Kayla and help her. He could hardly wait to go down. He is checking to make sure she is coming. . .

Still waiting. . .

And here she comes.

And she's off and going, she had cute little bare feet and she even made it the whole way without falling! We were all very suprised. She hadn't been walking very long and that was the farthest she had ever walked before. Her headband on the other side was barely hangin on.

Here comes the bride.

The Kiss

All in all the wedding went great. Everyone looked great and did great. It was a lot of fun.

The Addition

The addition is coming along great. We are seeing a lot of progress now and are hoping to get it done soon! This is a picture of the front of the house. What a change. It doesn't even look like the same house when you pull up anymore.
This is the new living room. The fireplace is going to be in between the two windows.
This is the front door wich is in the living room.
The old part of the kitchen.
The new part that is conected to it

Mt. Baker

My cousin, Jessica, from Iowa was up to visit so we decided to take a drive up Mt. Baker. We were just planning on going up a little ways and walking around but ended up driving all the way up. We were very unprepared and didn't have really anything that we needed. Poor Kayla didn't even have shoes! Just a pair of Aiden's dirty old socks I found in the car. It wasn't to cold though so that was good. I forgot to grab shoes for myself so my Mom gave me a pair of her crocs. That was great bear foot in crocs in the snow. Brrrr! ! ! At least Kayla didn't have to walk! We had a lot of fun.

Someone had made some cool Igloo's that you could go in and even stand in. They were really neat.

Makayla enjoyed the snow.
There was a really nice family sledding and let us each take a turn going down the hill. It was so much fun. Poor Aiden hated the ride. Mike's feet were dragging in front and spraying snow into his face and then when the fell out Mike fell on top of him. He did not appreciate the ride at all.

My wonderful shoe choice.
My nearly frostbitten feet!
