EGGS EGGS EGGS! ! !

We are so excited, our chickens finally started laying eggs! ! !   We have gotten 4 this week.  Aiden is always out there checking for more.  It is so much fun!  We can't wait to start eating them all!  I didn't want chickens so bad before and now I'm starting to like them.  I'm even brave enough to go in the coop to collect eggs without being scared!  I didn't think I would ever step foot inside.

The Children's Museum

Aiden is camping with my parents this week so I decided that since it is just me and Makayla we were going to go out and have some girl time.  I took her to the Children's Museum in Mt. Vernon yesterday and we had an awesome time.  It was such a cool place to go.  I'm going to have to take another trip back with Aiden when he is home.
Makayla was thrilled to explore everything while I followed her around.  There were only about 5 other kids there, so we practially had the place to ourselves.

There is a big boat in the center that she had so much fun climbing on.
This sand pit was one of her favorite places to play.  It had this soft white sparkely sand she was fasinated by.
One of her favorite parts was this semi truck that she got to 'drive'.  It was blue, 'JUST LIKE DADDY'S' she told me.  She loved being able to give me a ride for a change.
There was even a little farmyard.  It had a little barn she could play in and a rocking horse and sheep, and a climbing area she just loved.
This doesn't even cover half of the fun things that were there.  There was a little drama stage with dress up clothes, a shadow room, water squirters, a market, turtles and sooo much more.  We could have stayed all day and not run out of things to do.

Since the Museum is right in the mall we could help but do a bit of shopping after we were done.  ;)  I'm having such a great week spending so much time with her!  But, we all miss Aiden and can't wait for him to come back.  The house is so quiet without him here!
