No More Thumb Sucking!

It is now official, Makayla no longer sucks her thumb!  It has been 2 whole weeks since she has sucked her thumb and she couldn't be more proud.  (Us too!)  I told her one day she was going to have ugly teeth if she kept sucking her thumb and she was horrified!  Ever since then she has been determined not to suck her thumb!  She did it all on her own at 3 years old!  I didn't think that I would be able to say that for MANY more years.  I'm so excited for her to be leaving behind one more baby habit.

Say good bye to pics like this!  We still have bunny but that thumb. . . NO MORE!

A Weekend for the Kids

It was all worth it because of this. . .
 and this.
Friday afternoon Mike came home from work early and said he had the weekend off! ! !  We were so excited.  We decided to make it a special weekend for the kids since he hasn't been around to much lately.  Friday night we took them out to dinner and bowling.  We have never done that as a family yet.  They kids were so excited and had so much fun!

Two peas in a pod.
Aiden did really well bowling.  He has been practicing on his Aunt's Wii getting ready for when we would take him.
Makayla started out doing well then I think that her arm started getting tired.  6 lbs has never looked so heavy before!
After the 1st 5 frames this is what started happening for poor little Kayla.  She would throw the ball, spin around, run to get a drink come back then lay on the floor waiting for her ball to hit the pins.  When it FINALLY got down there it would hit a pin and stop, not knocking a single one down!
They both had so much fun!

Saturday afternoon we made a trip to the zoo across the border.  It was closer than we thought and they had so many great animals for us to check out.  The kids loved roaming around looking at them all.  Kayla was a bit nervous because there were lions, a tiger, jaguar and bear and a few other scary animals she thought might be able to get her.

We had a great Father's Day weekend spent with the kids.  Thanks Mike for being such a wonderful Dad to our 2 wonderful children!  We love you so much for everything you do for us.
