Snow Painting

The kids were so excited to wake up to snow this morning.  That also meant no extra kids for me and no Pre-School for Aiden!  Since the snow was going to be fast melting today we decided to get out there right away.

I saw this idea for snow paint on a website I was on a while ago and couldn't wait to try it out.  It is just squirt bottle (empty cleaner bottles in my case, and yes very cleaned out) water and food coloring.
So excited to try it out!

It kept them entertained for quite a while, Aiden longer than Kayla but they both had a great time.  Spraying anywhere they wanted, tracking it all over with their boots, and coloring our white world.

December Overview

We had a very busy December this year so I'm going to show you a little of everything that went on for us.

Our Christmas Eve party with the Dykstra's.
Kayla looks like her Grandma here!

Christmas Morning in our house.
Yes, this is how my kids looked on Christmas morning!  I can't keep clothes on them!

Makayla loving her new doll house, Aiden did too!

Aiden was VERY excited to get a new scooter!

To much partying for this little girl, she cuddled up with her Uncle Jeremy and took a nap.

The day after Christmas we always torch our tree.  Here is Mike lighting it.  I barely looked up from snapping this picture before it burst into flames.

Instantly this is what it looked like, I guess that is what I get for not watering it very well.  Ooops!

No sooner than it was started it was out, once all the needles burnt off it was about done.

My kids just being silly.

We finished off the year with a trip to Jeremy and Kenzies.  We had such a great weekend.  We played games on New Years Eve, shopping the next day, a hockey game that night and even had time to bring the kids to a bounce house before we came home!

Aiden was the only kid we brought with us to the hockey game.  He was so proud and had so much fun.  They were handing out T-shirts to all the kids when we got there and he was VERY happy to wear it.

Although he looks grumpy he had a great time.  He's still talking about the Seattle Thunderbird's and how much fun he had.

Our last stop was the jump zone.  The kids (and Dad's) had so much fun.  This is a picture of Aiden going down one of the many slides they had.  They were going so fast I couldn't get any good pictures of anyone.

Goofy Kausten at lunch loved licking Kenzie's lemon.
